Yellow Cab of Sarasota operates customized vans that enable people who use wheelchairs to utilize taxi transportation without transferring out of their wheelchairs
Each wheelchair accessible Yellow Cab of Sarasota uses a fully modified lowered floor with rear-entry access.

All major credit cards accepted. Itemized monthly billing on corporate and medical charge taxicab accounts is available through Yellow Cab of Sarasota.
Passengers in wheelchairs who are “transfer-capable” are usually able to ride in regular taxis.

• Advanced Life Support- Yellow Med Non-Emergency Transport will provide services from an emergency incident to a trauma or emergency facility through activation of the local 9-1-1 system if the incident happens in our vehicle.
• Wheelchair Van Services- With our specially trained staff, our wheelchair – bound services shall be provided to patients who require transportation while seated securely in a wheelchair. Transports of this nature shall be done via especially on equipped vehicles outfitted with a hydraulic lift for wheelchair transport as well as extra-wide hydraulic lifts for those with special needs. We help ensure that the health care needs of mobility-impaired individuals are met.
• On-Site Staffing- We also provide standbys and on-site mobile staffing at local events, such as county fairs and community venues.
• 24 Hour Call Center Dispatch Services- We operate local and regional dispatch centers in the majority of our service areas. We are now working on the process of including satellite-based vehicle tracking systems.
• Community Education- Yellow Med Transport takes great pride in having our specially trained staff take CPR, First Aid, and other life sathat we can provide.ving certified classes here in the public communities that we serve.
• Transportation Provider and Claims Management- We develop and manage a comprehensive network of transportation providers for some contracts. When there are gaps in service areas, we work cooperatively with them to ensure a seamless transportation delivery system and then manage the corresponding claims.
